The client came to us with a challenge that many people in Malta are faced with when furnishing their dream home: the available space in the bedroom did not allow for a walk-in wardrobe or adequate clothes storage.

Modern, minimalistic micro-living in motion.

The solution we created combines the bed with the wardrobe to allow for a maximum of available storage space as well as creating a ‘sleepcove’ that nestles the bed, headboard and bedside tables into an arched cutout within the wardrobe itself.

The freestanding chest of drawers complements the design of the wall unit and adds some additional space for personal items & accessories.

The light finishes of the furniture add to the brightness of the room and allow the small space to breathe.

Contrast, warmth and softness are given to the room through the bed itself, together with walnut veneers and velvet upholstery on the headboard.

Reading lights, indirect led lighting and switches were integrated in the sleeping cove which gives a private and protected feeling around the bed itself.

This project is proof that with the right design philosophy, creativity, and craftsmanship, even the smallest rooms can transform into extraordinary spaces, made to matter.
