The brief of this project included the transformation into a ‘Hub’ where clients, engineers, consultants and builders can come together to allow for synergies and collaboration. In phase 1 the focus was on the showroom and reception area, where products will be displayed and visitors welcomed and guided to their destination.

The challenge of the showroom presented itself through the technical nature of the products, which allow complex functions and dependencies with each other to allow for a holistic and integrative system, but are not easy to comprehend to everyone without the necessary background.
The approach that was used in solving this challenge was to turn the showroom and product displays into an interactive and very visual spatial experience, which feels like ‘stepping into an infographic’, to provide the sales team with tools to communicate the products intuitively.

The reception was coupled with the main boardroom, clad in wooden paneling and recycled PET felt, to give a sense of place and warmth and balance the technical and hard materials in the product displays. This also gives an idea and preview of Phase 2 of the project which focuses more on the customer experience in terms of home appliances and lifts and connects to the offices on the overlying level.
