The client had a problem a lot of Maltese homes share: a bedroom with no room for a walk-in wardrobe or proper storage.
So we combined the bed and the wardrobe into one piece. The bed, the headboard and the bedside tables tuck into an arched cove cut into the wardrobe, which makes a cosy little sleep cove. A freestanding chest in the same language adds room for accessories, and light finishes keep the small room bright.
Warmth comes from walnut veneers, a green velvet headboard and soft lighting built into the cove, with reading lights and switches right where you need them. It goes to show that even the smallest room can be made to matter.
